Network Spinal Analysis
Network Spinal Analysis Chiropractic is an evidence based approach to wellness and body awareness. Gentle precise touch to the spine cues the brain to create new wellness promoting strategies. Two unique healing waves develop that are associated with spontaneous release of spinal and life tensions, and the use of existing tension as fuel for spinal re-organization and enhanced wellness.
Practitioners combine their clinical assessments of spinal refinements with patient’s self assessments of wellness and life changes. Greater self-awareness and conscious awakening of the relationships between the body, mind, emotion, and expression of the human spirit are realized through this popular healing work.
Sacro Occipital Technic
Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT) is a comprehensive, gentle and innovative technique of Chiropractic. It is so named because of the relationship between the Sacrum (base of the spine) and the Occiput (base of the skull).
One of the functions of the sacrum is to pump Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF) from the base of the spine back up the spinal canal to the brain and throughout the nervous system. CSF acts as the circulatory system of the brain and spinal cord.
The pelvis forms the foundational support of the human skeleton. It supports the upper body right up to the skull, and enables us to transfer our weight to our legs. The spine holds our body upright, supports all of our organs and provides anchor points for our muscles. It also protects our nervous system. The nervous system controls our body, and can only function normally when our structures are balanced and our pelvis is stable.
SOT chiropractic care facilitates this balance for optimal health.
The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique® is a diagnostic and treatment system used by some chiropractors to treat many types of back pain, neck pain, and headaches (both chronic and migraine).
The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint.
It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation, known as the high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust.
Next to the Diversified technique, the Activator Adjusting Instrument is reported to be the most common therapeutic intervention used by chiropractors.
According to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, more than half of full-time American chiropractors report using the Activator Method in their practices.2
The Activator Method is also commonly used in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Torque Release Technique
TRT is the most up-to-date chiropractic technique available. It has been designed as part of scientific research into the health benefits of chiropractic. As such it is a mixture of the ”best-of-the-best” systems of chiropractic assessment and treatment.
Research published in one of the most respected psychiatry journals showed dramatically increased success in reducing anxiety and depression levels, and improved measurements of wellbeing, when Torque Release Technique (“TRT”) Chiropractic Adjustments were received.
Soft Tissue Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy
Soft tissue therapy involves direct physical action on the muscle and other soft tissues of your body. Soft tissue techniques such massage targets your muscles, tendons, ligaments, or other connective tissue such as fascia.
Trigger Point Therapy is when direct pressure is applied to specified points on tender muscle tissue to bring about reduction in muscle tension and pain relief.
Other Modality Techniques utilised are:
Trauma Release Therapy
Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
Somatic Respiratory Integration (Breathwork)
Somato Respiratory Integration (or SRI) TM home exercises (based on Donald Epstein’s book “The 12 Stages of Healing- Network Spinal”) are designed to help the brain to reconnect with the body and its past and present experiences.
The goal of Somato Respiratory Integration™ is to help an individual develop lifetime skills, safety, strength, wisdom and love in relationship to the experience of his or her body, its vibration, structure, and energy.
Through reconnecting a person’s breath, touch, focused movement and attention, they are able to experience the body more fully, and instantly shift their state of consciousness to one that supports trust for the body-mind and their life experience.
